Meet my brother, Phil, he's always been a keen golfer. I remember when we were little playing on a pitch and putt course on our holidays to Wales. Phil was belting the ball straight down the fairway (most of the time), whilst I spent my time zig zagging across the course, in the hope that I would, at some point, get the ball near the hole!
In his teens he would often take himself off to play a round or go the range. Anytime he could get some practice in, he would. Fast forward a few (ahem) years and now he's studying for his PGA to turn professional whilst running a busy Golf Academy and retail business with his business partner Angus. He is one determined fella and works so hard. To say that I am a proud sister is an under statement.
Together, Phil and Angus tour local schools to teach children, as well as hold one to one lessons at the Churchill and Blakedown Golf course where their business is based. Using state of the art teaching technology, with launch monitor data and video analysis, they are able to concentrate on getting each individual to improve their game and boost confidence.
I wish Phil and Angus all the best with their venture. They are both knowledgeable and passionate about what they do, and work hard to provide a fab service with the customer at the forefront of their experience. They deserve to succeed like so many other local independent businesses do.
