Catherine and Rob's wedding

When I launched my business back in March I never thought I would book a wedding so quickly. Within a week I had received a message from Catherine asking me if I'd photograph her wedding.

Catherine and I went to primary and middle school together and lost touch as our lives, as it naturally does, moved in different directions and we went on to different schools.

It was lovely to see her again and meet her fiance, Rob, both of whom freely admitted that they were dreading having their photos taken. My aim as a wedding photographer is to make my clients feel relaxed and most of all enjoy the experience, and hopefully I did just that.

The day itself was super relaxed with a small ceremony with their nearest and dearest and then onto the reception at their favourite pub. After 13 years together, you could tell the only thing that really mattered to them was that they wanted to marry each other and celebrate with their closest family and friends.

Despite the very wet weather (what happened to Summer this year?), it really didn't put a dampener on their day and we managed to get outside to do a quick shoot of just the two of them after their ceremony.

A huge congratulations to Catherine and Rob. I wish them lots of happiness especially as they are now expecting their first baby in April. Such exciting news!
