This is Karen, a well being blogger, wife to Dave and Mum to two daughters Lexie and Wren. Her blog '365 Pearls of Wisdom' offers advice and support to all women including those who struggle with their mental health and encourages them to follow their dreams.
Having suffered with Post Natal Depression and anxiety, her blog and instagram account, @365pearlsofwisdom, are open and honest about how she deals with her mental health on a day to day basis. She shares openly with her followers her emotional journey and what coping mechanisms she puts in place in order to be able to deal with it better.
Karen has created a platform which offers support and guidance whilst continuing to raise awareness. She empowers and encourages women to understand that it isn't something to be ashamed of and that mental health is something to be discussed and shared with others.
Whilst mental health is still a taboo subject, I find people like Karen inspiring. You only need to read the comments on her instagram posts to see that other women find her story encouraging and are finding comfort in her posts that they aren't alone in how they feel.
Karen is one ambitious lady and has many passions as you will see from her blog. She also works as a parent support worker for the popular site Netmums . Her and her husband both run their own businesses and they have also created their own bespoke micro brewery named after their daughter, Wren. She is also about to hold her first 'Balance Retreat' in Stratford on Saturday 28th April, with healthy living and lifestyle blogger, Jemma. These two ladies have planned an event which includes well being workshops, a gentle Pilates class and the chance to meet an amazing group of women.
