I had to pinch myself when I was asked to photograph Sam's wedding. It was when I had just decided to start my own business and it came completely out of the blue. I've known Sam for a while when I worked at Stripes, and we always had a good catch up in the store.
I was extremely flattered and excited at the thought that she wanted me to be there at such a special occasion and then it wasn't long until the nerves kicked in. I'd never taken photos of a wedding before. and I hoped I'd be able to give them a collection of images that told the story of their day perfectly.
Sam and Richard are a lovely couple. Having known each other since childhood and life finally bringing them together, they are a match made in heaven. It's clear to see that they adore each other and have become such a close family unit with their three children, Jess, Evie and Charlie.
The wedding was small and intimate. It was celebrated with their nearest and dearest, all of whom made me feel really welcome. Sam looked beautiful in her vintage inspired dress whilst her florists did an amazing job of dressing the room with white roses, gypsophila and calla lilies. Once they officially became Mr and Mrs the champagne was flowing and they were able to enjoy the rest of the day with their family and friends.
I wish Sam, Richard and their family a lifetime of happiness. Thank you for letting me play a part in your special. day.
